How Did Muhammad Contribute To The Spread Of Islam
Muhammad was the prophet and messenger of god (Allah) and a great leader of Islam. He was the most influential man of his time because he had the power to cause major changes to the Arabian society and also made supreme religious movements for Islam. He always spoke the truth and no one ever could find fault in him. This great leader and Prophet of Islam was born in Mecca (holy city for the Muslims) in the year 570 CE. At that time Mecca was a wild, lawless land with many bloody battles and wars and Muhammad was the man to change all of that. Muhammad was raised by his uncle and was also a farmer. There were four specific reasons for the spread of Islam. The First reason was because of the Quran (the holy book of Islam).The holy Quran influenced millions of people because of its beauty and style. The second main reason of its spread was the personality of the prophet Muhammad. He was very truthful and trustworthy. People found no fault in him making the personality of the prophet very diluted to Islam. The third main reason for the spread of Islam was the strong faith of the early Muslims. None of these early Muslims abandoned the faith (which was Islam). The early Muslims preach and practiced Islam (Their Faith). The last main thing for the spread of Islam was that the principles of Islam still continue …….. There was no discriminate of any rank and people were and still are equal in the sight of Allah. There was a big expansion of the religion after Muhammad’s death. They converted unbelievers to Islam and made many military conquests. The Muslims usually just expanded north from Mecca and Medina. The Muslim armies fought a great deal of battles but there was one main one against the Byzantines/Spain because there were many Berbers (Bad Government) There were also many ways to spread the faith but the main was by trade. The trading helped spread Islam in Southeast Asia. As of January 2011 there is a great, big, tremendous group of Muslims. There are 1.6 billion Muslims making up of 22% of the world’s population and that is a great amount of people. Islam also has loads and loads of adherences making it the second largest religion. Almost ¼ of the world follows Muhammad’s message
