One of the main reasons that President Truman made the decision to drop the atomic bomb is because Japan insist on refusing surrender to America even though they almost have no choice. Japan choses to ignore the threats that the alternative being "prompt and utter destruction" from the call for the unconditional surrender on July 26,1945. Japan’s stubborn attitude about the surrender causes the atomic bombing directly. The war is going to be end if they were willing to capitulate and cooperate in the beginning. Even though the first atomic bomb in Hiroshima has almost destroyed the whole city, Japan still insists on their attitude that do not accept the unconditional surrender. They believe that America only has one atomic bomb, and they have confidence to keep fighting in the war. The Japanese government tries to cover the truth of the bombing in Hiroshima, and they lie to the world that it just a meteorolite drops in the city. Being as idealist as Japan is never a rational choice during the war. The terrible destruction is not going to happened in Japan if they can realize that they do not have the ability to fight anymore. Also, The relationship between these two countries will not get so serious that one side of them has to use nuclear weapon to solve the issue.
