This opened many doors between the two countries such as trade, having any relations with China and the general safety of our own country. The REALPOLITIK was a diplomacy with China which was based off of goal oriented things that Nixon wanted to be done for our country. This was a good foreign policy because it guided the U.S and China in good direction so it could benefit both countries. You will see that Nixon was not only thinking about himself and the government but also for the rest of the country, “ It allowed for the triumph of wisdom and smart statecraft to mediate danger and steer a steady course” (Nixon Foundation). This explains that this policy was not one sided, Nixon was open minded and put both perspectives from each country when he made the diplomacy. At last, Nixon was a goal driven guy that had good ideas for the United
