Have you ever done something so dumb that you regret it the next morning? I have done things like airsoft wars in my basement without thing of the outcomes. I ended up breaking a window. In the play Romeo and Juliet there were many bad decisions made without thinking. Romeo and Juliet takes place in Verona, Italy in the late fifteenth century. Two families called the Capulets and the Montagues are in a feud. The enemies are to the point of killing one another. Soon comes Romeo, a Montague, who falls in love with Juliet, who is a Capulet. They get married secretly for they do not want their families to no of the two enemies marriage. This causes many problems because they do anything for their love. Also Tybalt has a hatred to Romeo and wants to fight him. So when Tybalt kills Mercutio, Romeo wants revenge and kills Tybalt. This gets Romeo banished from Verona. In the end, after Friar Laurence tries to get them back together, the plan fails and Romeo and Juliet kill themselves. All these problems along the way …show more content…
His first mistake was marrying Romeo and Juliet without telling the Montagues nor the Capulets. He knew that the two were family enemies, but thought marrying them would resolve the feud. The problem was that he never told the families, so it was kept a secret. “Come, come with me, and we will make short work; For by your leaves, you shall not stay alone till the holy church incorporate two in one.” (2.6.35-37). After Romeo and Juliet were married, if friar Laurence told everyone that he married them, then the story would have resolved a ton better. His second bad decision was deciding to fake Juliet’s death, while not informing Romeo in person before doing it. Friar Laurence should've made sure that Romeo knew about the plan before doing it because once he heard that Juliet was dead, and the letter was not delivered, he was already on his way to kill
