Music in today's society have a major impact on the people and our culture. There was a rap group called N.W.A that had a major impact on our society as we know of it today. They used words to help them start a movement in being able to speak about anything. The group made a huge impact on the hip hop world with their controversial and explicit lyrics about their daily lives dealing with violence, gang influence, drugs, and racial issues and tensions in Compton, California. This is one of the most violent places in the United States. A group of friends formed a group called N.W.A in 1986. This group included the rappers names of Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, DJ Yella, and MC Ren. Their music was incredibly popular, but received a lot of criticism from a plethora of critics, saying their music was disrespectful toward women and that many of their songs lifted up the use crime and drugs. The group would always come back and say they were just speaking the truth. N.W.A. released their first album "Straight Outta Compton" in 1988. Many argued that the release of the album marked the beginning of the so- called genre of "gangsta- rap," but the group instead referred to their music as "reality rap," as it talks about the kind of life they had to live growing up in Compton. Rap today is very similar to the way Shakespeare wrote his works of literature. These two type of leaders were able to motivate the people in that time era. People debate all the time who has given the English language more words. With that being said they have both been able to motivate people because they both have the motive to inspire others. Shakespeare always had life lessons in his play that showed people how if you don’t pay closed attention to things it can cause a lot more harm than you had planned. N.W.A used their songs too They both use couplets for their rhyme scheme. Couplets generally appear in poetry, and frequently used when they rhyme and have the same type of sound. The two lines often belong together, and share a similar idea. This helps the plays and rap music sound and flow so much more
