How Did The British Use Propaganda During Ww1
Propaganda has played an important role in term of the outcome of the war during the World War One (WW1). Therefore, during the World War One, the British used propaganda for different reasons. During the World War One period, Russia had a loss of over a million casualties in the war against Germany. That has resulted in a deterioration of its military and caused a domestic discontent. The People were suffering; the value of their money was deteriorating and women and children had to work for long hours in factories because their men were at war. This caused the people to lose trust in the autocratic government, which later lead to spontaneous revolutions (Perry, 2012). Research has shown that propaganda has intended to be used and affect different countries participating in the WW1 such as the United States of America, the Great Britain and Germany. Having said that, propaganda was supposed to decrease the number of individuals, as well as the number of soldiers which misinformation would cause to be dropped among the Germans. In addition, it would be used to convince people in America to get involved in the war in favor of the people of Great Britain while affecting the Germans reputation. The Germans however were uncertain about the way the government in charge was governing which in fact had caused the government to fail on his agenda and therefore loss many individuals.
