The African American Civil Rights movement was the cause of them having equal rights today (Bond Juliana). They are able to vote and able to get any job they want. “The Rights Act, signed into law by president Lyndon Johnson on August 6, 1965,”( Blake ). It is even easier for them to get a job because a lot of companies have a rule they need a certain amount of diverse people. Furthermore, they weren’t allowed to sit in the front of the bus or if all of the seats were taken a colored person would have to get up. On December 1st, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, refused to obey bus driver James k Blake’s order to give up her seat in the colored section of the bus to a white passenger ( Blake). Rosa parks fought for what she believed in and didn't let anyone tell her otherwise. That was one of the rights that African Americans didn't have that we did and they now have today. In all, it would be different because African Americans have the same rights as us
