How Did The French Revolution Affect Women
During the French Revolution, the Assembly abolished the French nobility which caused the guild system to begin to deteriorate and establish a national church. The French Revolution was known for its major social and economic changes in Europe. Many of these changes caused positive and negative impact on women and men in everyday life. In 1799-1815, Napoleon became a powerful ruler in France. Napoleon led the war between France and its allies, which resulted in France, defeating the first and second coalition. At the end of the Napoleonic wars, economic growth and technological innovation were caused by the British. The British invented machines and other new methods of producing products faster. These petitions were caused by society. Society has in place women in roles where their only job is to cook, clean, and take care of their children because they were seen as a low statues than men and their only purpose was to stay home. However, as time pases and Europeans start to question the way of living led to women's to begin to question their purpose in life. In August 1789, the Declaration of the Rights of Man wrote an opening letter involving the corruption of government in which men were ignored, neglected, and lost their rights. Nevertheless, the Declaration of the Rights of man declared that any men born were born with natural rights and the pursuit of happiness in which a corrupt government wouldn’t be able to take away. In September 1791, Olympe de Gouges wrote the Declaration of the Rights of Women and the Female citizen stated women were ignored and scorned from their rights due to the corrupted government and the Declaration of the Rights of Women and the Female citizen declared women were born with right and they will support the good morals and the happiness of the people. In November 1793, the National Convention wrote the Presiding Session of 9 Brumaire in
