How Did The Industrial Revolution Affect The Environment

Just like everything in the world there are pros and cons about everything. The Industrial Revolution was no exception. There were lots of bad things that came with it, but at the same time it also brought many good things. For instance, prior to the Industrial Revolution people worked at home farms, and small workshops. Textiles were primarily made of wool and were hand spun. But since the invention of the spinning wheel, cotton was produced much quicker. (Man-Made) It was this types of invention that made product come out more quicker for the consumer. With water wheels use to power machinery and steam engine being invented, these are the things that made factories speed up productions and manufactured items at a much faster pace. (Man-Made) With so many products coming out of the manufacture quicker then ever, it made it possible for consumer to buy items and a cheaper price. The Industrial Revolution didn’t just bring cheaper items into the world, it also brought many job opportunities, and improved the quality
It didn’t just affect the environment it also affected so many workers. Even though the industrial revolution is passed us, the effects are still felt in England. Air pollution levels are extremely high in England. While most of the pollution are coming from cars, it was the Industrial Revolution that introduce pollution into this world. (Healy) The Industrial Revolution did bring a lot of pain, abuse and disaster to mankind, but with every advance movement comes sacrifice. I believe that the Industrial Revolution was a great thing, it got the world moving and advancing to a better future. The Cyber Revolution is a lot better but it still similar to the Industrial Revolution. The current revolution did put a lot of people out of work, but at the same time also created many jobs that would not of existed twenty years
