In what ways did the Model T change the lives of common Americans?
Although the Model T was not the first automobile to be invented, it was, however, the automobile that change the world of automobiles forever. Henry ford, the creator of the Model T automobile, came up with a brilliant idea to combine car making with the assembly line process.
This concept made the process of assembling an automobile a much swifter process. Because of incredible productivity of the newly found concept, the Model T was readily accessible to the public. Originally, automobiles were only built for the rich. The Model T changed the automobile world, because it was actually
affordable to any ordinary person. Over the years, the cost of the Model T dropped from $850 to as little as $260 for a standard automobile. Because of its affordability way more people were able to buy themselves a car. The prices of the Model
T also had an effect on society. People had the ability to go wherever they wanted to go on their own time. Highways had to be built to accommodate the increase in automobiles being driven on the roads. One would also believe the building of these highways created jobs which may have had a positive impact on the economy.
The Model T automobile, indeed, changed the lives of common Americans for the better.
The Model T was offered at an affordable rate which made it possible for common Americans to buy them. The Model T was also plentiful for purchase because of them being produced on and assembly line. It was also responsible for evolution of society in regards to highways being created and more convenient commute from one place to another.
