How Did The Persians Influence India
When the Persians, Greeks, and Kushans conquered India they influenced the country significantly. Under Persian control around 513 B.C.E, new trade connections where established. The emperor Darius had contact between India and the near east of the country. Persian influences created new concepts, techniques, and materials into India. The Persians also influenced India by creating numerous viral states. During the invasion of alexander the great, the Greeks conquered the northwest of India from the Persians in 326 B.C.E. When the invasion took place, Chandragupta brilliantly seized the opportunity to become ruler of Northern India. The Achaemenid Empire began with Cyrus the Great and he became a king beneath Astyages in ancient Persia. In 550 B.C.E. Cyrus took complete control over the Median kingdom. By 539 B.C.E. Cyrus was very tolerant towards religion and explored alternative cultures as well as allowing the conquered people to join him.
