How Did The Revolutionary War Start
Many countries have had a Revolutionary War, including America, France, Haiti, and Russia. A Revolutionary War is a war fought to overthrow the current government in favor of a new system of government. All Revolutionary Wars are different because they all start out differently, they have different reasons for starting, and they all end with different results. Every war starts out differently. The American Revolutionary War started out because Britain had sent troops to the Americans colonies. There was already tension between the two and it escalated when a random gun was shot. The French Revolution started after King Louis XVI left the country in bankruptcy. In order to try to get rid of some of the debt, the third estate was taxed. The third estate thought this was unjust and it leads to the overthrow of the Bastille which is considered to be the official …show more content…
The American Revolution started because of tension between the colonies and Great Britain. The American colonies felt that Great Britain was not fair in the way they were running the colonies and fought to be free from them. Great Britain would tax the colonies in order to pay for things that weren’t the colonies fault and that eventually lead to the war. The financial state of the country and the differencing in opinions caused the French Revolution. The Enlightenment also played a part in the French Revolution. The Enlightenment brought out a new way of thinking and people realized that the way the government was being run wasn’t what they wanted. The main cause of the Haitian Revolution was slavery. The Haitian slaves wanted their freedom and they decided to fight to for it. The cause of the Russian Revolution was the population booming. The Russian population grew and as it did the working conditions got worse and worse. Eventually, workers began to protest and that lead to the beginning of the war.
