The Rwandan Genocide was a time that took thousands and thousands of lives of Tutsis. It lasted more than 100 days and was the quickest killing spree that we have ever seen. It killed children, a lot of families. The Genocide was sparked when the Rwandan president Juvenal Habayirmana by getting shot down outside Kigali airport( he was a Hutu). The Genocide could’ve been prevented many many ways, outside leaders could have interfered with the whole mass killings and stopped Kalimanzara from supplying all the weapons. Tutsis also had a name or a symbol for them to be easily recognized by the Hutus for them to been killed. The Hutus also saw Tutsis as cockroaches. The Hutus would also divide the Tutsis by Ethnecity. The Hutus would also know that Tutsis had lighter skin, longer neck and a much larger nose. The Hutus would even measure the Tutsis nose to see if there nose was short enough. But one question I ask myself, what if a Hutu had a long nose and long neck?
