How Did The Second Industrial Revolution Affect Working People
The Second Industrial Revolution took place in Europe and America from 1850 until 1914; the revolution brought the use of petroleum for electricity and the mass production of steel. Though it brought great things for the upper/middle class people, the Second Industrial Revolution affected the working people negatively. Most of the workers got sick or died because of the harsh chemicals they worked with for up to 16 hours a day.
Factories got bigger which meant more jobs were available, so people from the rural areas of Britain moved closer to where they could find jobs.
