How Did The Soviet Union Cause The Cold War
The cold war began around 1945 and relations between the U.S. and the Soviet Union continued to deteriorate for 40 years. During this time tensions between The U.S and its NATO allies and the soviet union grew along with dooming pressures of nuclear war. The Soviet Union tried to spread communism while the U.S. fought against their political ideology. The Soviet Union was more responsible for causing this cold war.
The North Atlantic Treaty was signed by the U.S., Canada, and ten nations of Western Europe in 1948. According to the excerpt in document 4, “each (member country) will immediately take whatever action it considers necessary to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area”. This treaty was a necessity due to communism
