Cell phones became really useful in the 21st century. The way I see it, is very much how many other teenagers will view it as well. For example, when I can’t answer my calls I tend to text them back with an apology because I’m probably really busy to not pay any attention I had a missed call. My personal experiences with missed calls are mainly when I’m doing something productive during the day such as cleaning, studying, driving, showering, etc. After I explain my situations with friends, they tend to understand. Additionally, in the 21st century, most likely everybody has some type of social media account that they can get access to.
For instance, I love being on social media and checking what my family, friends and other people are doing. I get on social media to interact with different people all around the world , from Houston to Toronto. Communicating from a distance is very fascinating. Social media is a great way to communicate with people that lives far away, such as your own family or anybody in general. The most common use of social media is with a cell phone because nobody has time to carry around a big laptop that needs
wifi. Not to mention, I can already feel the smooth screen under my warm fingertips and hear the clicking and the vibrations of the cell phone around me. Not only are phones good for calls whenever you’re in need of an assistance but also for communicating through texting. Texting is my savior most of the time whenever I’m using my cell phone. Half of the time you’re too busy to talk on the phone while you’re on the go, so texting can be an easier to communicate with friends, family, and acquaintances. Furthermore, being a high school and college student and not having your own car to drive too point A to point B is very difficult. Since, I don’t have my own vehicle to take me to my destinations. Therefore, this where my cell phone comes into play and becomes very convenient in my situation. I just go to my contacts, dial my mother and let her know I’m available to be picked up. I know many students that have gone through the same situation as me, most likely more than once in their lifetime. Overall, I realized that cell phones made a dramatic way of changing our human way of communicating with technology by moving our fingertips over a bright screen instead of letting our voices speak for us. With that said, having a cell phone is a much better way to communicate with friends, social media, and the rest of the world in general.
