In the movie, the teacher shows respect to students in order to break stereotypes. Mrs. Gruwell pays close attention to her students. They begin to raise their hands when they want to say something about the classwork, instead of joking around and just talk to somebody when they want to. For building a great tolerance with the students, Mrs. Gruwell organizes a trip during the weekend. In order to join the trip, Andre has refused something he never refused before-- an invitation from his “brother”. After one year has passed, students come back to school. They begin to care about their classmates. The students, who have just returned from the holiday, are extending greetings to each other! The homeless boy who reads from his journal in class, he is sad. However other student console him to be hopefulness and active, which makes him feel better. They respect and trust each other now. You can tell if somebody respect you or not. Students care about the teacher's opinions, and follow directions, that is respect and trust. They might feel good, feel safe, feel at home. Respect and truly trust other people keeps their mind on. They are
