How Does Autism Affect Your Family

Madyson Dellaquila, a student at Elk County High School; to the young followers of Christ and any individuals that autism has affected. My young cousin was recently diagnosed with autism and it has considerably affected the lives of our family. Although the condition has impacted the family, Eli still shows great spirit and has honestly became my biggest role model. If you or a loved one has the unfortunate experience of acquiring autism then as a faithful individual of God's love and mercy, I urge you to have faith in God through all of the struggles. I wish peace to you and all of your family. I thank God for every favorable outcome and also for every destructive tragedy that life delivers. Autism is a sickness however it is much more significant than just that. My cousin, although ill, is the glue of our family, he keeps us all unsighted and at peace. Referring to Chronicles 9:7 that states "How happy your people must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom!, this statement bring my family such joy and happiness, I feel as though it perfectly explains how illness and struggles do not compare to the happiness you and those around you feel when you are with your family, no matter your differences. I wish peace and joy among all healthy and ill families, all the faithful followers of Christ, all those aimlessly wondering and searching for answers, and every other individual lurking this earth. I encourage everyone to find peace and love in their hearts and to pray for those who haven't.
