Everyone has their own idea of what the “perfect” body is, and these ideas are often based on celebrities. People need to take a step back and realize that no matter what they do they will never have the same body as that person. Everyone’s structure is different, so it is physically impossible to have the same physical appearance. Also, celebrities pictures are photoshopped or airbrushed so that is not even how they actually look. The next problem is constantly weighing themselves. Often people who are physically fit weigh more than those that don’t because muscle weighs more than fat. Weight doesn’t matter, for it does not impact the way someone looks at all. If people were to stop weighting themselves, their confidence would boost so much. This does not mean doctors should stop weighting people; this means it should not become a habit. Don’t wake up every morning and jump on the scale. Numbers need to be de-emphasized. The third and final problem is that people constantly make comments on how others look. Those people need to take a step back and realize the comments are actually discrimination. It is just the same to comment on size as it is to comment on race, ethnicity, or religion.
