The Earth itself is the controversy of this generation. The media sends out snapshots of waterfowl drowning in oil spills, charts outlining the deforestation of Brazil’s rainforests, and articles concerning the fate of polar bears in a world already locked into global warming. As governments and independent groups alike attempt to tackle these issues, one of the world’s most at-risk habitats is being overlooked.
