Macbeth starts off as a good husband, brave warrior and a loyal subject of the king. After Macbeth kills Duncan he feels remorse and paranoia, but as time goes on he becomes more ruthless and insane. What the author seeks to tell us was that all choices in life will have consequences no matter how well you cover them up. By Macbeth murdering Duncan he reaped internal consequences such as insomnia and paranoia. He never received our modern day jail sentences but paid for his actions nevertheless. These consequences are shown in the text through the change of Macbeth’s thoughts, from normal to breaching insane. In the end Macbeth is murdered by Macduff which potentially may be the consequence that fixes his other internal consequences. In reality some never get the opportunity of escaping insomnia so in some ways Macbeth is
