In what was a traumatic incident for Simba his father, Mufasa was killed in a stampede. Of course this would be a huge shift in for Simba as his father had a huge role in his life.
After Scar had become king he had allowed the hyenas to live in the village. With this move, both the hyenas and the villager’s lives drastically changed. One could infer that the hyenas acted parasitical forcing the villagers to either live in fear or leave the village.
The kingdom went to a horrid state with Scar becoming king with famine throughout the area, this could only lead to a weak kingdom and an upset population.

Timon thought that the idea was horrible, but ultimately Pumbaa convinced Timon and they became friends with Simba, having a successful friendship that lasted throughout the movie.

Scar had a lot of help from the hyenas and he clearly had a great relationship with them. The hyenas followed his orders and Scar granted them the luxury of living with him in his kingdom. The hyenas were shown trying to kill Simba and planning Mufasa’s death with Scar.
Nala, Simba’s friend was a great ally to Simba throughout the movie. She had joined Simba in his visit to the Elephant graveyard, later escaping together. Later in the movie, Nala had Simba’s best in mind trying to convince him to come back to the kingdom and falling in love with him.
When Simba was young and alone he had joined Timon and Pumbaa. They taught him how to survive in the forest area by eating insects and the 3 of them stuck together as friends. Additionally, later in the movie Timon and Pumbaa helped Simba in getting rid of
