Technology is developing these days. But the important thing is: technology could really affect our social life. Social life is an important part in our life where we build our relationship with other people, and communicate with them. By the existence of the developing of technology, our social life was changed. They kind of ‘help’ and make our social life better than before.
The old-fashion communication has begun to phase out. Social communication is no longer has to be face-to-face interaction. People could chat, with other people across the world instantaneously. Let me take an example: in the past people chat by sending mail, which takes more time. But technology

This type of technology provides more space for the user to share anything the user wants. They can post their profile, daily life, business and work, or a rare photo of the nature, and many else. Thanks God this technology was created, if not so many activities cannot become simplified by this application. By posting entertaining or useful things they may gain more followers. Most of them will feel something happy when someone follows their Instagram. But here is the problem; when they followed by someone else the glutinous feeling of getting more followers may pop up and grow. We will be obsessed by the followers. And when we are obsessed we will automatically take more time on the social media, which makes us unproductive.
People who use YouTube, some of them look for knowledge, news, and information. YouTube is a social media which provide its users to share any video they want, just like Instagram, but YouTube has a larger scale. YouTube allows their users to post any video with various genre. I can say that YouTube is very interesting, and it consumes much of our time because videos in YouTube usually have a long length of time. Again, we meet this ‘time-controlling’ problem. This technology could make us indiscipline if we are too much wasting our time on

Technology over the years have improved in drastic ways over the centuries and are getting more involved in our daily lives some in good ways but some are bad. Technology has cut off the way humans interact and speak distracting them from doing basic things like talking, cutting off any social interactions hiding behind a screen. People stop talking to their families, when they do talk they feel very uncomfortable and out of place. Ray Bradbury shows examples of technology getting in the way in his book Fahrenheit 451. Ray shows the readers how the power of technology does affect people in many ways in his book how it suppresses and replaces true human interaction.…

Our planet is ruled by technology. For many people texting is as natural as breathing and children know how to use a computer properly by the age of ten. Letters are only written at Christmas and even then many people prefer an e-letter. Technology has changed our lives entirely. It often can have a bad influence. Kids don’t spend as much time outside anymore because they prefer playing videogames. Social contacts are often made through the internet rather than in person. But this can also be a benefit. Have advances in technology caused us as human beings to be less social? While technology has definitely helped make life simpler it has also caused us to become more distant from the rest of society. Before the convenience of the internet you were, for the most part, forced to interact with other people. Now with just the click of a button you never have to leave the comfort of your own home. You can purchase things and have them delivered right to your door never having to step foot into a store and interacting with anyone. You can stream movies over the internet, play video games all sitting in the same room. People become more involved in cyberspace and become less involved with the people that occupy the space right next to them. Some may argue that interaction with other people over the internet is considered being social. The lack of visual body language and human contact definitely creates a rift in the social nature of interaction.…

However, our technology becomes better and more efficient, because of this new change, people start to become less active and energetic. People depend on technology more now than ever. Instead of interacting face to face with people they interact with phones, computers, and televisions. There has to be some sort of balance between socializing in person and socializing through technologies because now people are stuck with their face in their phones and computers like robots. Most people today are not interacting with one another face to face. Everybody has to realize this and do something about it because this is making society less interactive when it comes to face to face communicating instead of face to phone or computer.…

In our modernized world today, technological devices are a necessity, as it connects us to people around the world, the events happening everywhere and most of all, it fills up the gap between us and our loved ones who are far away from us. So, how could this possibly make us feel more alone? People created technological devices such as cellphones, computers, laptops, cameras, iPads and many more so that we could stay connected. But, is this really happening? Do we really feel connected with the people around us? Can we still build strong and rich relationships with people? Based on what is happening now, people become more uncomfortable talking to someone face-to-face. According to Melnick 2011, instead of having the presence of each other, people prefer to talk online and send text messages because they can control how long it takes for them to respond, leaving out the awkwardness of the sudden silence people make during face-to-face conversations. People are continuously reducing the importance and quality of real conversations as they are more comfortable talking and facing a computer screen instead of looking into someone’s eyes. The use of technology, social networking and social media sites is just an illusion that makes us feel more loved and known to the world, but the truth is that it only makes us feel lonelier because we do not spend real face-to-face conversations with the people who are around us.…

Technology is great! Google made it possible to find to find a needle in haystack so people do not have to go a library and search for your topic. EBay brought a garage sale to your house so now you always find what you are looking for instead of garage, and Kindle brought a book store to your hand there many more I can say. It seems as though the true social interaction between people has started to disappear because you are losing that social interaction even if those are very minor. People are starting not to go out as much face to face interaction has starting to go down since people don’t have to go as much anymore and you can just sit home. With these technological advancement what is the point of even going out even more. Social interaction is vital to our physical and mental health and it has been proven that maintaining healthy relationships help us to live longer. Technology also harms our ability to deal with conflict as well. For example if you have a problem with someone you can just send them a message instead of confronting the person (Northeren-Iowan.org). We are becoming totally dependent but there are plenty of benefits for example it helps us with faster and more efficient ways to communicate with others, but it is also harming our ability to communicate with people face-to-face, and sometimes, it impacts our ability to write properly (Northern-Iowan.org). It also negatively impacts our social interactions because it detaches us from what is happening around us. Not all technology is double-edged sword it also made it possible to communicate with someone around the world that’s thousands miles away through Skype or Facebook.…

The impact of technology has transformed us into the people we said we would never be. For example, social networking websites has taken over old-fashioned communication. Twitter and Facebook have given birth to the new concept of social media marketing. Going outside is not even an option anymore because talking to someone from the comfort of your own home is much easier than actually talking to someone face-to-face. Even mating has become easier. Meeting people online has made the dating world a lot less…

Technology is supposed to connect us, but just take a look around and see how disconnected we truly are. Everywhere we go people are on their cell phones: texting, tweeting, and snapchatting. The list could go on. Someone we know could walk walk right by us and we might not even notice because our eyes are to focused on the screen. While technology has enriched our lives and extended our reach of communication, it has disconnected us from those around us because although is it supposed to keep us in touch, because of it, we have lost touch with those around us, it has become such a big part of our lives that we forget how to live without it, and we are less social, outgoing, and interactive because of it.…
