Picking your job was given up so each job had an equal amount of people. Also each job had an equal amount of help. This was not worth it, because if the people were not good at their jobs it wouldn't be fun for them. “During the past year he had been aware of the increasing level of observation. I think It's not fair because the Elders think that they will run out of food , but they could just make more food. In the book Jonas’s Dad was trying to keep a baby at the Nurturing Center.
