Renaissance artists were trying to become better at depicting life as it was and being realistic with the imagery in their art. Human forms were drawn and painted meticulously and the importance of religious art was fading away as artists began to focus more on the ideas of St Francis and his rejection of scholasticism “of the prevailing Christian theology” (Renaissance art The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica). Instead St Francis preached the beauty and value of the beauty of the natural world to the masses. Artists like Leonardo Da vinci were born out of this kind of thinking, Leonardo Da vinci was obsessed with the anatomy of humans animals and plants alike. His obsession grew and he started to delve into things like researching the nature of flight. He would draw schematics and sort of blueprints of nature and began to document the world artistically and scientifically. Another artist born out of this school of thought was Michelangelo. Michelangelo was mainly a sculptor but was more often recognized for his paintings. Things like gay marriage are not taboo anymore. China is now one of the largest economies in the world. And most importantly the internet went from being a thing of luxury to a staple in our lives. The internet alone is a tool that has put knowledge and information into the hands of half of the earth's population. But just like the renaissance, this doesn't come without consequence. The internet is being used to spread false truths and put manipulative and evil people into power. Facts are not concrete anymore and have been made into a thing of interpretation. People are being taught lies and fed propaganda. All of which is fueling conflict and crisis throughout our world.(Goldin,2016) Comparable to the printing press the internet is putting information into the hands of people who may have not had access to it before. But what has changed is the singularity of text the internet is not gutenberg's bible and does not stay consistent from copy to copy. The internet also empowers all kinds of people to write opinion into
