Sadly, Japan was made an example of exactly what can happen if countries do not follow the humanitarian laws. These laws were put in place to maintain the human rights of everyone, even during times of warfare. They should be strictly followed to keep people safe. Since an actual bomb has been set off the production of nuclear weapons has declined. This is a good thing; it gives people around the world more security and peace. The process of doing away with nuclear weapons altogether may take a while but the declination of making them is a step. Survivors of Hiroshima would also like to witness a ban on nuclear weapons worldwide. If they know that what happened to them can’t happen again they could feel like what happened wasn’t a complete waste of human lives.
