How Important Is Technology To Reduce School Shootings

I do think there are attempts to reduce school shootings through improved technologies and making administration more available to students. In my opinion, by having students comfortable with the administration and school resource officers will create a safer environment for schools. Students are usually the first ones to be aware about a possible school shooting before teachers or principals. When students feel comfortable going to an advisor and know that their voice will not be ignored then the school will become safer. Administrators and teachers should recognize the signs of students who want to tell them information but look reluctant, this is where most of the training needs to be focused. I think that technology for increased security
is important and should be implemented, but having teachers and administrators should be the first priority.
