go into Minotaur cave, but no one made it out because he would eat them. So, Theseus volunteered himself to go into the Minotaur’s cave, to hopefully kill the monster and save Athens. From both of these legends we can see how Perseus and Theseus myths are alike. They are both brave man, they are consider heroes, and they both encounter a similar obstacle of killing monster, which taught the readers many valuable lessons. One of the biggest similarities between Perseus and Theseus was that they are both heroes.
Their brave, courageous, and boldness personalities is what makes them be consider heroes. Theseus saved the Athens from a dangerous monster the Minotaur’s, who was creating chaos by eating the seven man and women who enter his cave. On the Other hand, Perseus was the only person to be able to defeat the Gorgons and cut the head of Medusa. In additions, another characteristic that Perseus had that made him a great hero was his intelligence because he manage to cut medusa head without looking directly at her, knowing that if he looked at the Gorgon, he would have been turned into stone. Both of this man besides being heroes they were also consider demigods because Perseus was the son of Zeus, and in the book Classical Mythologies, it was said that there was a possibility that Theseus was the son of Poseidon, which might be the reason why both Perseus and Theseus are consider great heroes in Greek Mythology. These scenes demonstrate that readers should not be afraid to take risks, because when they are doing something positive most likely, would have a good
outcome.
