Abstract
As widely reported, Authentication and Security are the two disputes of networked computing for individuals as well as institutions to put their applications, services, and data in off-premise, on-line, and on-demand networked environments. The Radio Frequency Identification System (RFID) is one of the automated technologies available that is supports other devices to detect objects, record the processed data and to control the required object using radio waves. The Internet of Things is used in the proposed system where after Internet and the RFID reader are connected, the reader can detect, track and also watch the objects that are connected to …show more content…
A few of such instruments include the RFID, GPRS, WSN etc. which can be combined with the Internet to form a system from which we can estimate the information and intelligence offered by the entities of the system. The traditional methodologies estimates the applications that can be used on RFID methodology with Passive tags on IoT. This system which processes the received data can then be used on the required application which could be single purposed or database dependent. The RFID is one such system which provides flexible, fast and a reliable method through which it is possible for the system to automatically detect, track and sense and control a variety of objects. This system uses transmissions from radio and transmits energy to the RFID tag. The passive tag then sends out an identification code which is unique to a data collection reader attached to an information management system. The data received from the tag is directly transmitted to a host computer or a portable reader to which it can be …show more content…
But latest research tells us that this can also be improved. Researchers from Duke University have developed a system through which it is possible to transmit images, audio and also a video using the 5Mbps from the reader to the RFID tag. This system produces 10 times better output than the previous methodology that used to send data at the rate of 0.5Mbps. Thus by the use of this system it is possible to transmit even video signals if there is enough energy to drive a camera at the transmitter side.
Results and Discussion
In the above mentioned system we thereby design an attendance system which stores the presence of an individual along with the time using image processing. This technology combined with Internet of Things (IoT) can be used to notify parents in case of their ward’s absence or can even be used to estimate a person’s salary based on his check-in time. By use of IoT this can be used in various applications and also causing further developments to this system by the inclusion of Biometric systems
