once known as luxury product were becoming everyday productions people. That everyone could not get ahold of. Another way it changed was in a social way, especially with religion, and what people believed in.
After the revolutionary war people were able to do what they wanted. And make their own decisions for themselves, and their families. Without having the Government, or someone telling them how they should live their lives. Some people did not want anything thing to do with religion, this was known as the “Godless Century”. Education was another thing that made change from the Great Awakening from the eighteenth century. New state churches, and schools were being built as well. Citizens were also given human rights, in which they got a fair speedy trail just like every upper class got. And for once women and, slaves weren’t consider as second class anymore. Even the women were finally able to identify with themselves, and they were able to get involved with social movements (Concise History

That all started with the Constitutional Convention in 1787 the men who all got together were James Madison, George Washington, and Alexander Hamilton, and many other people. The reason for the constitutional convention was to come together to create a new Government, and forgot the old constitution that didn’t seem to work out. James Madison was the one to come up with the convention, and was the man who made things happened. Many people actually liked his new ideas for the constitution. Delaware was one of the first states to approve of the new constitution. It created more of a centralized and stable union between the states. Also it changed the way people voted, and became more structured. The Government had the electoral college in which a group of people who represent the Unites States, who make the votes for whoever is running for President, and Vice President. Finally the United States had its first national Presidential election, and the states that had more people received more votes so it made voting much better. Instead of the 1790’s where whoever lost against the winning President became the Vice President, in the 1800’s it changed to where the President and Vice President who ran together they both won.
