How the colors of the rainbow came to be….
There once was a village way up in the sky filled with grownups and children who knew how to fly.They were happy and magical and just full of glee and lucky for us they made the rainbow come to be.
RED One day Sally was eating a red popsicle and the sun was so hot the drops would not stop. They lingered in the sky and fell down just so, that they formed an arch we know as the very first row. She looked at the stain she had made in the sky and was so thrilled a tear came to her eye.She flew down to get a closer look and with excitement her lips made a mischievous hook.
ORANGE She felt it needed just something more, so she made a trip to the candy store. At the place full of treats and wonderful things Sally saw Brady squishing orange beans. They were gummy and juicy and tasted so sweet that she knew that she had to use this messy treat. Brady and the gummies flew off with her quick, to make the next colorful, wonderful, drip.They hovered over the stain in the sky and with a big squeeze they made the beans cry. The juices fell again so perfectly right that the orange stained up that space in the night.
YELLOW Two colors now glowing up in the clouds, the colors so bright, so happy, so loud. It was almost complete, such a beautiful sight, but something, just something, was not quite right. Mr. Jones flew by and smiled brightly as his eyes shined. He asked if could he offer one thing and a lemon appeared in the shape of a ring. He had peeled it that morning and the shape was just right, so he added the yellow to their art in the night.
GREEN More colors Sally “screamed”! What else should we see? Then Brady chimed in and said lets add Green!
