Bodily/Kinesthetic
My first intelligence was Bodily/ Kinesthetic. I’m very athletic and I love to play sports a lot. I play basketball after school on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at my local community center. I even play basketball outside when I have spare time on my hands. I play a lot of 2K13 on my PS3 and my favourite team in the NBA is Oklahoma City Thunders because they have good players like Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka. I get better by shooting at certain spots on the court and practicing my lay ups. I play rugby for the Newman Knights. I started in grade 9 and I love to go to practice. When I scored my first try in rugby, it felt all my hard work and determination paid off.

Interpersonal
My second intelligence is Interpersonal. I have many friends from my old elementary school and I also made new friends when I came to Newman. I socialize with many people at Newman; having laughs, tears of joy and always joking around a lot. I always go out with my closest friends to malls like STC or Eaton’s Center, after hanging out at my school or in my house to play PS3 and to other people’s house. I keep in touch with my friends on Twitter and texting them on my phone. I have fun texting people; it keeps me occupied and keeps my friends close to me no matter where I am. I also enjoy having group work with people, it’s easier to work with people because I don’t like working by myself.

Visual/Spatial
My third intelligence is Visual/Spatial. I like to draw and do art when I’m bored. I like to draw Pokémon when I was a kid and I still do Pokémon drawings sometimes. I don’t like reading novels but I love to read manga and its Japanese base where you read it left to right. I love these types of books because I like to see the manga panels instead of reading books without pictures. I learn better when they show

When I was in fifth grade, my class talked about lockdown procedures. I was shocked at how little our school could do to keep out intruders, but even more surprised that people involved in school shootings didn’t see the ways around the simple defences. My mind instantly came up with limitless ways someone harmful could get into my school. Of course, I will never do something like a shooting, but it was easy to see ways someone could. In addition, one of my favorite things to do is to read about psychology or a story about someone and then use it to analyze people and ideas. Whenever I am just sitting in a crowded place, I study what people are doing and try to get a better idea of who they are and why they do things. This shows that I have an analytical way of thinking. Going along with being analytical, I also hold back a lot of sharp retorts. Whenever someone says something uneducated or rude, I have to hold my tongue so I don’t offend them. It’s the same way when people use incorrect grammar. These issues and other things, including some things that have happened in my family, have not made it easier for me to keep things back, but I have gotten better at it. This shows my self-restraint. As for being clever, I don’t exactly know, but when I was younger, I could always find a way to get out of trouble and someone else into trouble. I could talk my little sister into anything. Now I try to use this for better causes, like getting good grades or solving a riddle, but the trait is still there. I can usually come up with points and ideas quickly. Although I do have these character traits in common with Doctor Livesey, we are not exactly the same. I consider myself a leader, but not always in a quiet way. I go for it. At times, I am more likely to take an active side in an argument rather than try to end it. In addition, I do not always think before I act like the doctor does. While…

Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences suggests that there are seven different forms of intelligence. They are Linguistic intelligence which involves sensitivity to spoken and written language, the ability to learn languages, and the capacity to use language to accomplish certain goals. Logical-mathematical intelligence consists of the capacity to analyze problems logically, carry out mathematical operations, and investigate issues scientifically. In Howard Gardner's words, it entails the ability to detect patterns, reason deductively and think logically. This intelligence is most often associated with scientific and mathematical thinking. (Gardner 1999) Musical intelligence involves skill in the performance, composition, and appreciation of musical patterns. It encompasses the capacity to recognize and compose musical pitches, tones, and rhythms. Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence entails the potential of using one's whole body or parts of the body to solve problems. It is the ability to use mental abilities to coordinate bodily movements. Spatial intelligence involves the potential to recognize and use the patterns of wide space and more confined areas. Interpersonal intelligence is concerned with the capacity to understand the intentions, motivations and desires of other people. It allows people to work effectively with others. Intrapersonal intelligence entails the capacity to understand oneself, to appreciate one's feelings, fears and motivations. This involves having an effective working model of ourselves, and to be able to use such information to regulate our lives.…

Interpersonal - perceiving and understanding other people 's moods, desires and motivations. They are experts at interacting with others. They have many friends, empathy for others, street smarts. I think moral intelligence would be equivalent to these two intelligences because in order to make moral decisions, one has to understand other 's points of views as well as knowledge and motivation to do the right thing. However, unlike the two current intelligences, moral intelligence would need to include the ability to distinguish between right and wrong and the courage to make moral decisions. (Guignon, 2010)…

As a person who is strong in interpersonal intelligence I find that I am very strong in the social competence section of this test. This section is heavily explained as a persons ability to connect and understand others. In this area or section I find I'm strong in areas of interpersonal competence, cultural competence, and peaceful conflict resolution. The reason I feel strong in these areas is because I feel as though I have a pretty good understanding of why people do the things they do and the emotions and thought processes of different people. This is the same with the idea of cultural competence I have a pretty good understanding of what the main ideas or lifestyles that each culture provides. As for pace I find I'm a quite peaceful person when it comes to conflict resolution because I have an understanding that each side getting angrier and more aggressive does not stand to solve anything it only provides a louder more useless argument, but social competency is not my only strength.…

My artistic side of me has contributed in a many ways in my life. My deep affection in analyzing paintings and drawing comics is most definitely a spatial intelligence in me. One time in my life I majored in architecture because I got very inspired in the Turkish mosques designs of Aya Sophie and how beautiful it looks, and started to draw amazing designs of mosques just for my amusement. Spatial intelligence is when I remember things visually, including exact sizes and shapes of objects, like visualizing maps in three-dimensions for example, when I get lost in a new city I visualize my own map…

Upon completing the quiz, I found that my learning style results were quite surprising. Since I plan to have a long career as a businesswoman, I expected that my kinesthetic learning qualities would be low. Similarly, I expected my auditory learning results to be higher. This is because, as a future CPA and businesswoman, much of the information I will receive in my career is auditory and very little is kinesthetic. The other learning style results were middle of the road and expected. However, my strongest and weakest intellectual abilities, multiple intelligences, are bodily-kinesthetic intelligence and musical intelligence, which do match my learning style. Therefore, I could not be too surprised by the results. In terms of the other learning style results, they were middle of the road and thus not too remarkable or unexpected.…

When I leave middle school, I want to be remembered as clever. Clever means to be quick to understand and to be intelligent. I am a very creative and very smart. I feel that I haven’t really had a chance to show my fellow classmates how clever and creative I can be. If I had to describe myself in two main categories, I would chose athletics and smarts. I think that I can get farther with my smarts than with my athletics. My whole family has been a very smart family. My mom and dad were both in honors classes and got straight A’s, and me and my brother have gotten straight A’s almost every year.…

Intelligence can be defined as the combined or comprehensive capability of an individual to act purposefully, rationally and to manage effectively within the environment (Wechsler, 1944). Intelligence is also conceived as the sum of three parts: abstract, mechanical and social intelligence (Thorndike 1920; Thorndike, Bregman, Cobb, & Woodyard, 1927). However, Howard Earl Gardner perceived intelligence as ‘the capacity to solve problems or to fashion products that are valued in one or more cultural setting’ (Gardner & Hatch, 1989 as cited in Smith, M. K. 2002). He then proposed a theory that there are different types of intelligences although; intelligence is often viewed as one’s knowledge or logic (Gardner,2003). He continues stating that each individual is differed to be proficient at certain intelligences. ‘These intelligences are not exclusive to one another; they all exist in each of us. What differs from person to person is the level of development of each intelligence.’ (Armstrong, T., & Witte, R. 2002) For example, a student excels in academics but struggles in co curricular activities. Therefore, educators should consider an alternate way in their teaching style that connects to most or all of the intelligences.…
