How to Brush Your Teeth
TITLE:
A. To demonstrate to the audience the importance of taking care of their teeth, as well as how to brush their teeth properly.
B. That the majority of the audience will remember the demonstration that I showed them so they may maintain healthy oral hygiene
C. Taking good care of your mouth and teeth will provide you with a healthy smile
I. Introduction
A. As you know, my name is Melanie and I am incredibly excited to share my passion with you tonight, healthy teeth.
B. Ice breaker- Story about bumping into an attractive person and then seeing their horrible teeth and losing interest. C. According to the American Accreditation Healthcare commission, taking care of your teeth helps prevent plaque, which is a clear film of bacteria that sticks to your teeth within 20 minutes after eating.
II. Body of the Presentation
A. The toothbrush itself will help you maintain healthy gums
1. Check to make sure the toothbrush bristles aren’t too hard
2. Varying heights of bristles helps reach different tooth areas and difficult spots between the tooth and gum
B. It is recommended by the Dental Hygienist Association that you brush your teeth longer than you think you should
1. According to the Harvard Health Letter, most people think they brush longer than they actually do
2. A good thorough brushing takes at least 2 minutes
C. Work systematically when brushing to avoid missing spots
1. People often spend more time brushing their front teeth.
2. People often spend more time brushing their front teeth.
I. Conclusion Practicing the right care and precautions while brushing your teeth will help prevent unwanted oral
