Raise the Vehicle off the Ground with the Car Jack Lift the car jack until it is supporting the vehicle. The car jack needs to be firmly set up against the underside of the vehicle. Place the jack underneath the frame that is close to the tire that needs to be changed. Ensure that the car jack is in contact with the metal segment of your vehicle's frame. Numerous vehicles have molded plastic along the bottom. In the event that the car jack is not placed in the correct spot, the molded plastic will break when you begin lifting.
