Some step you need to apply in order to competitively show pigs are getting the pigs to their location, prepping them before they are shown, the process of showing them for showmanship and market. The first thing to do when showing pigs is to take them to the location where they will be shown. This place will either be at your local county fairgrounds or some sort of expo center. Showmanship is when you only take one of your two pigs out into the arena and show the judge how well you can walk the pig. When first entering the arena, you must start by making eye contact with the judge and making sure your pig is visible to them. In order to drive your pig, you must use a maneuvering instrument such as a cane, pipe, or the most often used, a whip. As you show your pig to the judge, you must make sure you are always making eye contact, always walking about 5-6 feet in front of him, and always making a “pork sandwich”.
