How To Make Jello Center Of The Earth
The Jello center of the Earth By: Yasmine Abouzeid

Hypothesis: If the center of Earth was solid/liquid and edible, then the layers would consist of graham crackers and Jell-O. Experimental design:
Materials: Graham crackers
Tooth picks
Whipped cream
Food coloring ( blue green)
Paper sticky notes
Jello, premade or powder
Red (inner core
Orange (outer core)
Yellow (mantle0
Plates bowl
Procedure:
1. Gather all the ingredients and materials needed for the experiment.
2. Make the jello (if the jello is powder). If the jello is already premade start mushing the jello. Don’t break too much.
3. Put graham crackers in a zip lock bag and smash it with a hammer until it is fine. After they are smashed or processed, put them in a bowl and put it aside.

Take the jello recently mashed jello and add them to the plate/bowl. Layer them according to the colors. (Yellow for the mantle, orange for the outer core, and red for the inner core.) Then add the crushed graham crackers to represent the crust.
5. Put some whipped cream in a bowl then add 7 drops of food coloring. Stir until you get the color needed (blue green). Add more food coloring if necessary.
6. Label each part using the toothpicks and paper/sticky notes. Enjoy eating!
The dependent variable was making earth with jello and graham crackers. The independent variable was changing the outer layer of earth using graham crackers and whipped cream.
The control of the experiment is the layers of earth and the constant is keeping the jello and crust in place. Data

Geophysics, which studies the physics of the Earth, has led to many important findings about the Earth and how it is made. Seismologic studies of planet Earth have revealed new information about the inside of the Earth that has helped to give new openings in understanding plate tectonics. The Earth is made of several significant layers. Each one of these layers has its own properties. The crust is the outermost layer of the Earth. The crust is made up of the oceans and continents. The crust has a fluctuating thickness, being thirty to seventy-five kilometres thick in the continents and ten to fifteen kilometres thick in the ocean basins. The crust is made up mainly of alumino-silicates (Fowler p472).…

Different theories and facts were presented in the 2003 American disaster film The Core. First, the earth’s interior. We all know that the Earth is mainly divided into three parts: the crust, mantle, and core. The mantle is further subdivided into upper mantle, asthenosphere and the lower mantle based on seismic activity. We also know that the outer core is a rotating fluid while the inner core is a solid part. The movie was able to describe and explain these things accurately. It is also true that scientists have only drilled the crust which is the thinnest part of the Earth for about 10 km and no one has ever drilled down into the mantle and even travel down into the depths of the Earth up to date. In the film, Dr. Josh Keyes used a peach as a model of the Earth. Well, it’s not a bad analogy since the skin of the peach is very thin compared to its total radius as to the crust of the Earth to its radius. The meat of the peach was in proportion to the thickness of the mantle as well as the pit of the fruit as the core.…
