AIDS HIV is a virus that impacts the immune system, this virus is called Aids. It passes by four diverse stages of infection that attacks the human body. Some people misunderstand the true nature of aids and HIV virus as well. So awareness about the virus must be raised, as we have to realize the stages human bodies experience. This essay aims to define the true nature of the virus and how to deal with infected people. On the other hand, many experts referred that women are more subject to get aids than men are, yet that is not in Saudi Arabia. It is clear that the ratio of people with Aids in Saudi Arabia is possibly 1%. The first stage is elementary HIV infection stage, this stage lasts for many weeks, and mainly it accompanies a short flu-like illness. This illness is called seroconversion sickness, or acute retroviral syndrome. Some people with HIV will suffer in the first four weeks some symptoms, as fever, pimples, headache, sickness and pains, sore throat, mouth ulcers, sweating during night, weight loss, fatigue, swollen glands, and other neurological symptoms like meningitis. Seroconversion is antibodies that recognize HIV. Before that, the antibody of HIV will show a negative result. However, as studies suggest, there is no treatment for this disease. Moreover, the second stage is clinically asymptomatic stage; this stage lasts for ten years at average. It does not include foremost symptoms; however, they may show swollen glands. The antibody will show positive result, when the level of HIV in the blood is very low, so people are carry the disease and HIV antibody is noticeable in the blood. The HIV is energetic in this stage, and it is livelier in the lymph nodes. Furthermore, the third stage is the symptomatic infection stage. Damage of the immune system by HIV is caused as a result of three reasons. The lymph nodes and tissues will
