I take away that bias away from my teaching. All children are capable, I just need to step up and teach them and teach to their ability.
In what other ways could the instructor improve the course? Any specific suggestions? (This will NOT affect your grade in any manner---I am looking for suggestions for next fall.) o Overall, I thought this class was taught very well and I learned a lot about who I am as a professional from it. The one suggestion I would have is for the interview portion to be more structured with possible people in the field giving the interviews. I felt that doing it with peers, it wasn’t taken as seriously as it could have been. Some things that I enjoyed about the course was the different sections of the philosophy paper being divided up. This allowed me to put my philosophy paper together easier as I had all parts written. I also liked that the book response was in the form of a discussion. It made me still read the book and gain an insight from other classmates rather than discussing in class. I’m usually one that doesn’t speak a lot while in class during a discussion so this allowed me to feel comfortable contributing to the discussion.
