He tested 36 girls and 36 boys between the ages of 3 to 6 years old. The role models for the children were one adult female and one adult male. Psychologist Bandura situated 24 boys and girls to watch a video of a female or male being agressive with a toy called a ‘BoBo doll’. The adults attacked the doll in a very clasifable manner, by picking it up and throwing it down and by even hitting it with a hammer. Another set of 24 children watched a non-aggressive video, then the final 24 children did not watch any video at all. Results of this experiment showed that the children who watched the agressive video made more agressive responses than the children that watched the non-agressive video or the children that did not watch a video at all. The boys were able to imitate the male adult model than the girls were. Girls immitating the female adult model is not very accurate. They boys were also more physically agressive than the girls were. There was barely any difference in the verbal agression between boys and girls. This experiment supports Bandura’s Social Learning Theory. It showed that children learn certain behavior such as agression by obeserving the behavior of another
