The Germans were relatively weak and were not unified, it wasn't until Bismarck and nationalism transformed Germany into a strong and unified nation. Bismarck unify Prussia and Germany into one country. Kaiser Wilhelm the Second, after he got thrown out of power from the Bismarck, he decided to reverse policies that Bismarck had set up. In order to do that he had to create potential or powerful enemies such as the country of Russia, Great Britain and France to start a war. World War 1 started in Europe from 1914 to 1918 the war lasted for four years and it was one of the bloodiest and deadliest wars in history. After World War 1 Europe wanted peace, so they came up with the idea of “Treaty of Versailles”, that treaty made Germany angry against the Allies. At that time Germany’s economy was at it’s worst, they had to pay big amount of money to the damage they did on World War 1. Then the Great Depression hit Germany and they came up with the Weimar Republic, which didn't work for the German government. Many people were willing to sacrifice for a strong leadership and army. Beside the Blitzkrieg they had some great guns, tanks. Planes, submarines, etc. For example they had Light Weapons, Medium Weapons and Heavy Germans. One of the main light guns that the Germans used was the MP40 Machine pistol was a semi automatic pistol and light so it was easy to use for the foot soldiers. The most common medium weapon was the machine gewehr 34 machine gun, this weapon could be use as a stable or moving weapon. This is one of the many reason why Germany was successful at the beginning of World War 2, they had the technology that other countries didn't
