Think About it…
I think notes can be a good tool, but they become ineffective when they are too long. I know it is a valuable skill because in College I am going to have to take Notes often. I like it when Teachers use visuals during the notes and give us an opportunity to speak.

Moving to the United States allowed my family to practice their Religion freely like the Quakers and Catholics.

I can’t imagine ever moving across the World to pursue religious freedom like Quakers and Catholics.
Notes:

Jamestown was funded by a joint-stock company, a group of investors who put their money together to make a profit on a big
project.
The Southern economy was based on agriculture and produced many cash crops like Tobacco.
Farming was labor intensive and the large Plantations depended on slave labor.
Religious Experiments
Some colonies were formed to give persecuted religious groups a home.
Maryland for Catholics.
William Penn founded Pennsylvania as a “holy experiment” which offered Quakers a home.
Came to the Northern Colonies seeking religious freedom.
Most of the New England colonies were founded for religious freedom.
Laws that banned African Slaves from owning property, receiving an education, moving freely, or meeting in large groups.
Meant to keep Slaves at the bottom of society.

Summary:

The Northern Colonies were founded by groups looking for a home to practice their religion free of persecution. The Southern Colonies on the other hand were formed as business ventures for a profit, like Jamestown which was a joint stock company.
