Some people are consciously aware that they believe, for example that "money doesn't grow on trees." Perhaps this came from their parents who were saying things like this and "I'm not made of money."
In cases like this, we can just deal with those specific beliefs directly.
But most people don't think that they've got negative beliefs about money until they dig a bit deeper. And this can take time.
A Concrete Example
For example one of my clients had this belief: "that money will always be taken away from her." Now she didn't even realise this until we found out the source of that particular belief was in her early childhood.

So she's gone through life now thinking that all rich people are horrible people based upon what she was told by her parents about her uncle.
So she has attracted rich people into her life who are not very nice. It's incredible how much one little thing can affect your life.
And they are just two examples where that is greatly affected, those two clients in their relationship with money.
How You Can Uncover Your Negative Money Beliefs
To uncover your negative beliefs you can ask yourself questions about what you believe about money.
I often find it's useful to start a sentence with one of these three fragments:
"Money is... "
"Rich people are... "
"Having a lot of money is... "
Simple as this process seems, these sentences usually throw up a great deal of negative beliefs.
Using A List Of Common Money Beliefs
I also find that a lot of money beliefs are very common. So when I work 1:1, I use a list of over one hundred common negative money beliefs and find which ones ring true for the person.
