Northcentral University Assignment: Work Environment and Legal Issues
Write a paper to assess current issues regarding the work environment and associated legal issues that have become notable in our community. Is there a business that was recently sued for discrimination or harassment? Is there an employer who has received positive recognition for endeavoring to create a diverse workplace? Support your analysis with examples from your local community and/or state. You should be able to find information in our Northcentral library, on the Internet, in newspapers or community publications, local government websites, and through special interest advocacy groups. f this information is not readily available in your own community, please select another entity (town, city, etc.) to research in order to fulfill the assignment requirements.

Support your paper with at least five (5) resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included. Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University's Academic Integrity Policy.

Our present day workplace is becoming more diverse as personnel become more reflective of our nation’s demographics and lifestyles. Within this environment comes a challenge for the human resource professional. It is imperative that the HR professional within any organization understands the demographic make-up of the organization in which he or she is working, and that he or she also fully understands the different laws and guidelines governing the type of workforce. Diversity is something organizations should embrace, and one way to fully embrace it is to abide by all laws
