We have certified social workers that go out into the community to do assessments on people to see if they qualify for assistance. Then if they qualify we make them their own individual care plan that aids in the type of assistance they need. The organization then research for programs that are free that can help with the needs of that client. Some of the pharmacies pick up and deliver the prescription to the clients for the organization if they need help. A bundle of Care helps the client get on programs that help with the assistance of free food, like meals on wheels, brown bag, and feeding the valley. If the client need help at home we will assess them then send them to one of the home health care facilities that we work with. These facilities have certified nurse assistants and registered nurses that go out and assist the client on the days they need help. The certified nurse assistant will help with bathing, washing clothes, help getting dress, cook meals, do light house cleaning, make doctor appointments, remind them to take medication, and take them to get personal items when needed. The organization also have certified nurses that will go to the doctor with the clients to make sure the clients understand what the doctor tells them what they need to do and how to take their medication. They also help with keeping up with doctors’ appointments. If they are on Medicaid and Medicare but they will not pay for all the services the client needs the organization will pay the remainder with the funds they received through donations, fund raisers, and grants. The organization Abundal of Care will be diverse, we will make sure we have people from different ethnicity and culture working for the company. This will help the company on how to meet the needs of all cultures and ethnic groups. The mission statement supports the ethical system because they believe in equality and respect for the people. Code of Ethics
Workers should respect the privacy of the client and their information
Respect for all cultures, ethnic groups, and beliefs
Respect the imbalance of power in the client-worker relationship
Refrain from improper relationships with employees and clients
Follow all rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
Proper handling of client’s records and case files.
Have open and honest communication to help with growth.
Personal and professional Integrity
Workers will not accept personal payments or gifts
Workers will report to the director when rules and regulations are being broken by workers.
These code of ethics helps the workers to respect each other as well as the client’s.
It also lets them know how the organization wants to be looked at in the community by giving them rules and regulations that helps them to achieve the goal of the organization. It also makes the worker accountable for their own actions. They will help the organization to be successful and accomplish their goals. The code of ethics are related to the mission and the values of the organization because the workers have to give respect to all cultures and religions. They make sure the workers don’t receive money or gifts from clients, which lets the clients know the organization is there to help even if they don’t have money to
give.
The organizations culture is that every client and their needs are important. We believe that we should be consistent with quality care for clients at all times. Bundle of Care will be a role model for other human service organizations in the community. We will treat our clients the way we would want our parents, family, and ourselves to be treated. The culture will institutionalize the organization’s values because we believe that everyone and their needs are important so we do our best to give them quality care to make sure they receive all the assistance that they need to live a stress free.
As a leader I will evaluate each employee to make sure they are following the rules, regulations, code of ethics, and procedures of the organization. I will make sure the workers are meeting the needs of every client that needs assistance. Each client that receives help will have to fill out a survey. In the survey they will tell if their needs were meet, if they were treated with respect, was the worker concerned about your needs, and what do the organization need to change or add to the services that we offer. With the surveys as the leader I would read them to see what the organization needs to improve on to try to meet the needs of the community. For the employs that receive a bad evaluation from me they would receive a warning and have to take an employee training class. As a leader my moral responsibility would be to be an example to my workers. I would go beyond my job description as a leader. I would do work in every department when needed. I will know my job as well as my workers job. I would make sure every worker knows and understand their job as well as my job. As a leader I will show all employees and clients with respect. I would also let my workers know that I have an open door policy and any ideas or changes they think will help the company be successful they can tell me.
When measuring my organizations performance in ethical standards I would have in service classes where we would go over rules, regulations, policies, procedures, the organizations mission, and values. Each worker will then take a test after the training. I would also walk around the office to each worker throughout the day to see how they are interacting with the clients and how they are handling client’s paperwork. The structure of system I would put into place for oversight would be board of directors and an ethics audit. With the board of directors workers would have people to go talk to with issues they have or if they need help. They will help the organization to follow the rules and regulations of the organization. The ethics audit would help in evaluating workers job performance to see what areas they need to work on. It will also help with how the workers get their raises and rewards from the organization. It will make sure the organization is using the funds that are being donated, the funds from the government, and grants are being used properly. The ethics audit will make sure that all paperwork is being done correctly including keeping up with the accounting books, making sure everything balance out. Conclusion A Bundle of Care is all about equality, respect, diversity, accountability, integrity, and meeting the needs of the people in the community. We are here to serve and help meet the basic needs of everyday living of the elderly, handicap, and disable so they can live a stress free life. Abundal wants the people to know that they don’t care that the people cannot afford to pay for help. This organization wants to send a message that lets the people know that their reward comes from helping, making the people happy, and to bring hope to the people that feel like no one cares about their wellbeing. This company strives for satisfaction for the people of the community. We want our workers to work in a peaceful and happy environment. We want to accomplish our goals as a human service organization in the community.
