That is relatable because there are times when I will be involved in something but at the same time, I do not feel apart of it at all. You feel like you can not relate with anyone because they are acting fake or just a lifestyle that you do not have. You can be apart of something and feel so faraway.
The Catcher In The Rye a moment of empathy is “Allie heard us talking about it, and he wanted to go, and I wouldn’t let him. I told him he was a child, so once and awhile I get very depressed.” Holden regrets that he didn’t treat Allie better and spend more time with him, now that he passed away it makes him realize the things he feels that he should of done. This is relatable because when someone close to you passes away, you start thinking about all the things you could of and should‘ve done. It is a way of coping with the tragedy and making yourself feel like you still can fix
