That being said there will be people out there who’s interested in innovation; new ideas and new inventions. “Businesses have been transformed as well, and computers are found in corporations, factories, doctor's offices, hotels, restaurants, schools, colleges, universities, retail and commercial enterprises; literally every concern in every country uses computers” (Barrus) this shows how widely computers are used. In other words, a close, well-knit family was valued. With the expansion of scientific knowledge, comes less family time. The average parent spends three and a half minutes a week having meaningful conversations with their children, according to a survey reported by the A.C. Nielson Company. These statistics are not just simple numbers; they are a reflection of where our technological society is heading. Parents seem to encourage their children to use the technology around them because it keeps the kids entertained. However, they don’t realize how much they are negatively affecting their child’s intellect and health. Even parents that don’t applaud the use of technology have a difficult time relating their children. Kids have a superior understanding of what’s happening in the world when it comes to technology, but adults are slowly gaining an understanding of things such as texting and Facebook. On average, a six year old child is better at games like “Angry Birds” in comparison tot their grandparents. The difference is what is considered “ordinary” in the time a person is raised. Technology is a notion that will never end. New devices will be released and then advanced endlessly. It changes society by altering the environment in which individuals adapt. Technology now is a concept that individuals cannot survive without; an average person needs technology, to eat, to entertain, to cook, and to do many other daily functions. Let’s face it, individuals need technology to survive. But this is to an extent, for example a computer can be one of man’s best friends, it helps us write documents, it helps us obtain knowledge through the internet, such as searching Wikipedia, and it helps us entertain ourselves with games, movies, and music. But the computer can also have side effects to our behavior, and even to our appearance as Richard Restak, professor of neurology suggests in his article “Attention Deficit: The brain syndrome of Our Era.”. Some individuals get so entangled in this technology that their eating and sleeping habits change as do their behaviors. The Internet actually detracts from the communication abilities of society, especially the young. When individual’s communication skills are gradually lessened, they begin spending less time talking to their family, experiencing more daily stress, and feeling more lonely and depressed. In constructive teen years, lack of personal communication due to excessive Internet usage can have an overall negative effect on mental and physical health. Communication skills are critical for everyone, yet use of the Internet is undermining this development. The growth of technology has negatively influenced the social interactions of today's society because it isolates individuals from reality, and hinders communication and understanding.…

Technology as a whole is bringing down the ability for not only students but adults as well to communicate face to face. The “addiction” to technology has become an epidemic. People who overuse technology for hours on end and there’s more than a hand full of people who take their technology too far and simple entertainment and ease starts becoming abused. There are many problems that can arise from the abuse and over use of technology. The mental toll technology has on us can take our brains to new levels of stress, and also it can take a larger toll on our bodies. There is however some opposition to this, the belief that we have a right to use technology. Technology. Perhaps it’s nothing harmful. Every phone, every laptop, every computer, and every car. Every flat screen TV and every video game console. Technology. Perhaps we live it. Perhaps it lives us.…

Over the past few years, technology has been changing and developing rapidly. We can’t deny the fact that technology has improved and changed our lives. Through technology, it’s easier for people to communicate with others, faster business transactions, book flights, buy things online in a single click, play games, take pictures, be updated on what’s happening and many more. Almost every one of us gets benefits because of technology. Technology has really improved our lives but not always in a good way. When we talk about the impact of technology in our lives, we only think of the positive effects of technology and ignore the fact that it can lead us to Internet addiction and makes us excessively dependent on it. This is very applicable and common among students nowadays. It is the copy and paste technique, which can result into plagiarism. When given paperwork, students rely on technology so much and they just gather information in just a few clicks away and then pass it without making an effort on it. One can cherish accomplishment and success only if it comes after effort. You can get a high grade but you don’t deserve it. Instead of students will learn and understand things, they became lazy because everything is there and provided already. Another situation is due to technology specifically gadgets or cameras, students don’t take down notes now because they can just take a picture of it. Teenagers are very addicted to computer games like dota that they forgot their studies and priorities, which can result into failing or low grades. Children indulge themselves in Internet, games, texting and others. Because of that, they easily get frustrated when asked to do something that can stop them from using it. Youngsters are missing on the joys of real social…
