With great power, comes great responsibility. A quote that finds itself to be true
in regards to the Army and The Profession of Arms. Since 2001 the Army has proven to
be the most versatile, powerful, and strategic land force in the world. But the Army
didn’t become the world’s greatest Army solely from big guns and lethal force. The

With the recent additions of Structured Self Development courses and
restructuring of the Non Commissioned Officer Educational System, Soldiers are
required to continually work on mastering their skills as an individual professional.
HRNCOs have to frequently learn new regulations and policies to keep up with
constantly changing Army. Just as HRNCOs are committed to the long-term
effectiveness, the Army is committed to creating professionals and adapting to maintain
its professional culture.
In conclusion, the Army is not just a job, it is a profession, the Profession of
Arms. They are a powerful force made up of professionals and are responsible for
keeping the Nation and its people safe. Through their expertise and commitment to
service, HRNCOs help the Army maintain the highest standards and ethics. HRNCOs
understand the professional culture of the Army and are actively involved in developing
and supporting the future leaders of tomorrow. It is true that with great power, comes
great responsibility, however, the same is true that with great responsibility, comes
