CHAPTER 1 THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

Background of the Study
In the generation today, drastic advancement of technology brought a great impact to humans’ life in different aspects. It became one of the basic things that needs in people’s daily lives. The appearance of technology offers many advantages to us. Specifically, the main aim of technology is to make ones’ life easier and convenient by providing useful and profitable things. Living in a century of new technologies, it is almost impossible to do a task without its assistance. Computers and Internet are one of the most widely used forms of technology today. It provides easier communication, easier to gather information and such. Technology advancements are being established every now and then. There is always something new and there is always a change.
Recruitment refers to the process of attracting, screening, and selecting a qualified person for a job. At the strategic level, it may involve the development of an employer brand which includes an employee offering. The stages of the recruitment process include: job analysis and developing a person specification; the sourcing of candidates by networking, advertising, or other search methods; matching candidates to job requirements and screening individuals using testing (skills or personality assessment); assessment of candidates' motivations and they’re fit with organizational requirements by interviewing and other assessment techniques. The recruitment process also includes the making and finalizing of job offers and the induction and on boarding of new employees. One way of the recruiting process of Our Lady of Fatima University is by advertising in a website www.jobstreet.com where they receive feedbacks of soft copy resume and acquire shortlists of applicants and performs a manual paper screening for those who qualifies and will be informed by E-mail or a phone call to be given an schedule for conducting an initial interview and other
