Human trafficking is a global problem, according to the United Nations, 161 countries out of 192 are tied to human trafficking (Polaris, 2016). Affecting almost every country in the world, it has become vital that they work together to institute programs and plans that uncover, expose all those involved, and ultimately stop the “underground” trade. So, they should be looking at coalitions like the United Nations and Interpol, that can not only help improve living conditions in countries, but prosecute those involved. Going even further, the United Nations receives massive amounts of funds to use for problems like these. A separate fund should be set up to solely help non-governmental organizations and charities in certain countries provide education on human trafficking. Whether it is holding classes or just handing out pamphlets, educating the potential victims on the issue, and how to detect a trafficker is the key to stopping it all. With this, there will still be a great demand, but a significant decrease in the supply for human trafficking. Another solution to help the issue is a coalition should be established between the United Nations, Interpol, a country's government and a country’s non-governmental organizations.
