The storm started somewhere off the coast of Africa as a tropical storm. It started small but grew as it moved across the West Atlantic Ocean at 20 mph. Soon the winds reaches 74 mph.The tropical storm had become a hurricane. The storm kept growing as it moved towards longisland. Soon the storm was 500 miles wide and had winds of more than 155 mph.
